Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare in Del Rio, TX seeks an Emergency Room Tech to support physicians and nurses in the Emergency Center, performing patient care, environmental tasks, and equipment management to ensure cost‑effective, patient‑focused operations.

You will assist with vital signs, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, specimen collection, and basic lab testing, while keeping areas clean and stocked and documenting care in the medical record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years ER/EMT-P experience or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs and physicians with patient care and documentation.
• Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Transport patients and monitor vital signs with monitors.
• Perform point-of-care testing and basic lab tasks.
• Maintain clean patient care areas and stock supplies.
• Calibrate equipment and perform QC checks.
• Greet patients and check in.
