Qualifications

• Technical School completion of Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, certified Basic EMT, certified Phlebotomist, or certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 0-1 years of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the emergency department with clinical interventions and procedures under licensed staff.
• Assists with patient transport to and from units and discharge destinations.
• Maintains a clean and organized environment adhering to infection control standards and stocking supplies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care team, reporting changes promptly.
• Documents patient care activities in the EMR system accurately and efficiently.
• Responds to emergencies promptly, assisting with tasks to ensure patient safety.
• Uses PPE and follows safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
• Supports unit operations with clerical tasks and administrative duties as needed.
• Collaborates with ancillary services and external agencies to facilitate patient care.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
