Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA, is seeking an Emergency Department (ED) Technician to administer patient care under RN and physician supervision and to help maintain smooth patient flow in a busy ED. You will follow the care plan and address diverse patient needs across all ages, from infants to the elderly, using your emergency care skills.

The role requires CA EMT/Paramedic/CNA or Medical Assistant certification, BLS, dysrhythmia knowledge, CPI within 90 days, and at least a high

Qualifications

• CA EMT, CA Paramedic, CA CNA or Medical Assistant certification required or RN program with two semesters of clinical coursework.
• BLS (Current from AHA) required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification (BART) required.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) obtained within 90 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivilent.
• One year experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under supervision of RN or physician.
• Follow the plan of care and address patient age-specific needs.
• Maintain smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department.
• Provide specialized emergency care knowledge for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
