Job summary

MultiCare Health System is hiring an Emergency Services Technician to support direct patient care and collaborate across a team of practitioners. The role emphasizes safety, quality of care, and patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires WA state CNA/NA-R/MA-P/EMT licensure and BLS, with prior ED or acute care experience preferred. The FTE is 0.6, with Day shifts and 12-hour schedules at the Yakima area facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or successful completion of EMT Training Course.
• BLS Certification.
• Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT in ED, pre-hospital, or acute care setting in last 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioner.
• Engage critical thinking to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other health care team members.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting autonomy and dignity of patients from diverse backgrounds.
