Job summary

Carlsbad Medical Center in New Mexico is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support the ER team by assisting with patient care under licensed staff, keeping the department clean, stocked, and organized, and communicating clearly with the care team.

The role requires completing approved technical courses, relevant certifications as outlined, and 0–1 year of clinical experience; you will participate in procedures, patient transport, documentation in EMR, and adherence to safety and infection

Qualifications

• Completion of Technical School courses in Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant is required.
• CNA/EMT/Phlebotomy/MA certifications preferred.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care in the ER under licensed staff supervision.
• Transport patients to/from units and procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized environment in ER.
• Communicate status changes to the care team and document in EMR.
