Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time ER Tech to assist in providing basic patient care activities and supportive services to meet patients' personal needs and comfort in the Emergency Department.

The ideal candidate will hold phlebotomy certification or EMT with phlebotomy training, must maintain current certifications, and possess BLS. Experience in phlebotomy is required, with senior employees exempt from certification requirements after 10 years at SMMC.

Qualifications

• Certification from an approved phlebotomy training program required, with the exception of EMT.
• National certification for EMT valid and current or higher with Phlebotomy training via SMMC within 6 months.
• Experience in phlebotomy required. Employees practicing in this role more than 10 years at SMMC are exempt from certification requirements.
• BLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing basic patient care activities for which employee has been prepared, as well as non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
