Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking an ER Tech to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room and to assist physicians and licensed nurses in delivering timely, compassionate care.

The role requires night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., full-time hours with weekend/holiday rotation, and a six to ten week orientation. You will support personal care, nutrition, basic procedures, and patient transitions while maintaining a safe, well-equipped unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT-B/MA/CNA with acute care experience preferred.
• English reading/writing and basic math required.
• Able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients.
• Provides for nutrition and elimination needs of patients.
• Performs procedures according to care plan.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfer on/off unit.
• Communicates with patients, families and hospital staff.
• Maintains a safe unit environment, supplies and equipment.
