Job summary

Premier Health is seeking an ER Tech/Health Unit Coordinator for Beavercreek Emergency Center. The role blends ER tech duties with health unit coordination to support patient care and unit operations.

Under RN supervision, perform clinical tasks and clerical coordination, including communications, data entry, and stocking. CPR certification required; orientation includes CPR completion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification (will be completed in Orientation).
• Preferred: STNA/CNA or Patient Care Technician training.
• EMT Basic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist during patient care under RN supervision.
• Coordinate communication, data entry, and supplies as HUC responsibilities.
• Provide clerical support to physicians and staff and direct patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Identify abnormal findings per nursing standards and report to RN.

Position: ER Tech/ HUCDepartment: Beavercreek Emergency CenterShift: 7AM-7:30PM/ 36 hours per week/ 72 hours per pay periodFacility: Beavercreek Emergency CenterThe ER Tech/Health Unit Coordinator (ER Tech/HUC) role combines the essential roles of the ER Tech and HUC into one role that will function based upon operational needs.The ER Tech is a multi-skilled individual able to perform technical and clinical tasks/procedures under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and delegated in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing. Identities abnormal findings based on established standards and guidelines and reports those findings to the Registered Nurse.The HUC is pivotal in the overall function of the unit including coordinating communication, data entry and stocking/ordering of supplies. Provides clerical assistance to physicians and staff. Provides direction and guidance to patients, families and visitors while promoting a positive patient experience.
