Premier Health's Miami Valley Hospital South seeks an Emergency Department Technician/Health Unit Coordinator/Admission Clerk to join the ED team. Under the RN, you will assist with patient care activities and help coordinate admissions, contributing to patient comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes vital signs, basic nursing tasks, and efficient patient flow during night shifts, with 36 hours per week and varied duties across the ED.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS/Rescuer certification before orientation.
• No prior job-related experience required.
• Preferred: medical terminology knowledge.
• STNA/CNA or Patient Care Technician training accepted.
• Direct patient care in last five years encouraged.
• Nursing student with at least one clinical rotation preferred.
• EMT-Basic certification a plus.

**Position:** Emergency Department Technician/Health Unit Coord/Admit Clerk **Department:** Emergency Department **Shift:**7PM-7:30AM/ 36 hours per week/ 72 hours per pay period **Facility:** Miami Valley Hospital SouthThe Emergency Department Technician/Health Unit Coordinator/Admission Clerk works under the direction of a RN as part of the health care team to assist with patient care activities. She/He will directly/indirectly impact the patient outcomes and care provided to our customers.**Education** Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED **Licensure/Certification/Registration** Current HealthCare Provider or Professional Rescuer BLS/Responder certification required prior to completion of orientation. **Experience** Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Preferred experience: Medical terminology Other experience requirements: Successful completion of one of the following: 1.Completion of previous STNA or CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training. 2.Direct patient care experience within the last five years: Performing fundamental skills of vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) & direct patient care activities ie. Bathing, turning/positioning, toileting 3.Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of at least one clinical rotation. 4.EMT-Basic certification Special Consideration: If the candidate has previous direct patient care experience, they may be excused from fundamental training (BCOP) upon completion of successful skills validation.
