Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support non-critical patients and maintain a safe environment under RN supervision. This full-time night shift role involves basic nursing tasks, ADL assistance, and ensuring patient comfort.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, EMT or CNA certification, BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least 6 months in acute care.

Qualifications

Schedule: Full-Time, Night 12-Hour Shift/ Rotating Weekends

Responsibilities

The Technician in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

• 1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), if required by the State
• 3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• 4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
