Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an Emergency Care Technician to join our Emergency Room team. This full-time position offers a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7am) with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The role supports nursing staff by performing selected patient care tasks under supervision, following detailed instructions. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with preference for CNA/PCA/MA/EMT/EMT-P licenses and BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred CNA, PCA, MA, EMT or EMT-P license at state or national level.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• An Emergency Care Technician performs selected patient care tasks under nurse supervision and follows defined instructions; unlisted tasks are clarified with the nurse.
• Work in the Emergency Room during a 12-hour night shift and adhere to shift schedule including every other weekend and rotating holidays.

• 9FTE, 36hrs/wk. night shift 7pm-7am. Every other weekend, rotating holidays required.

An Emergency Care Technician, under the direction and supervision of the nurse, performs selected patient care tasks and other duties. Follows detailed and specific instructions; matters not covered are verified with the nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• The individual is preferred to be licensed as a CNA, PCA, MA, EMT, or EMT-P. The certifications must be held at the state level or be nationally registered.
• BLS
