Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking an accountable Nursing Assistant to support patient care in the Emergency Department. You will assist with daily living activities under RN guidance, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes to the nurse in charge.

Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort while upholding Beacon Health System values and supporting continuous improvement in patient care processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EMT certification, CNA certification, or current enrollment in School of Nursing preferred.
• BLS/CPR within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living as delegated by RN.
• Take and report vital signs to the assigned nurse.
• Provide compassionate, relationship-based care and uphold Beacon values.
• Explain medical information to patients and families when appropriate.
• Support department staff and participate in staff meetings and training.
