Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Part-time ER Tech to join Trinity Health Livingston. Under the direction of a registered nurse, you will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and support age-specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include helping patients with ADLs, collecting specimens, and recording data to meet documentation standards. Training is provided; work is in a 24/7 ED environment serving a broad patient population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of direct care experience (acute or long term) or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
• Assists patients with ADLs including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation with devices and feeding and menu selection.
• Collects and sends specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts/removes peripheral IV catheters; records patient information to meet documentation requirements.
