Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated tasks from the RN or Physician. Daily duties include patient transport, clerical support, and unit cleaning to maintain operations.

Responsibilities cover carrying out delegated clinical tasks, observing patients, and responding to emergencies in a fast-paced hospital setting. WA licensure or certifications and BLS-CPR are required.

Qualifications

• GED General Studies required, at hire and
• Completion of EMT/MA/CNA/LPN or 1 year nursing school
• WA licensure/certification where applicable (WA CNA/LPN/MA/RNA)
• Basic Life Support CPR - AHA required
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomist WA within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice.
• Assists in making observations, gathering data and identifying patient care needs.
• Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
• Assists with patient transport and transfer.
• Assists with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Adheres to safety and risk management standards.

As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.

Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.

To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.

*Pay Range*

$24.72 - $40.53 /hour
