Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department. You will perform delegated functions from the RN or Physician, conduct selected diagnostics, assist with patient transport and provide clerical support.

You will be expected to execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe, efficient environment in a fast-paced ER setting.

Qualifications

• High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
• EMT program or Medical Assistant program or
• Certified Nursing Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse program or
• One year of nursing school
• WA CNA or WA LPN or WA Medical Assistant Certification or WA Registered Nursing Assistant
• Basic Life Support - CPR / AHA (American Heart Assoc)

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks within scope of practice.
• Assist with observations, data gathering and identifying patient care needs.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Assist with patient transport and transfer.
• Assist with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

Required

• Completion of one of the following that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities:


• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program or


• Medical Assistant program or


• Certified Nursing Assistant Program or


• Licensed Practical Nurse program or


• Completion of one year of nursing school


• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA or


• Licensed Practical Nurse: WA or


• Medical Assistant Certification: WA or


• Registered Nursing Assistant: WA and


• Basic Life Support - CPR / AHA (American Heart Assoc)
