West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, FL, part of Tenet Healthcare, is hiring an Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) for per diem, days to support our fast‑paced emergency team. You will assist nurses and physicians with emergency care and document care accurately in the electronic health record.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, completion of an EMT course, Florida EMT license, and American Heart Association BLS.

Qualifications

• EMT course completed.
• One year hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• CNA course completion preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
• State of Florida EMT license required.

The Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) assists professional nursing staff and physicians with the provision of emergency treatment to patients of all ages. Documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

Education
Minimum:

High School or GED Equivalent

EMT must have completed EMT course

Experience:

One (1) year in hospital or nursing home setting preferred.

CNA completed course preferred.

Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.

Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:

American Heart Association BLS

Healthy Interventions required within three (3) months of hire.

Additional requirements for EMT:

State of Florida EMT license
