Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification preferred/required per facility.
• Strong emergency assessment, triage and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessments and triage patients based on acuity.
• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and emergency treatments.
• Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory and other emergency situations.
• Respond to codes and other critical patient events.
• Collaborate closely with emergency physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital infection-control, safety and emergency-care protocols.

ER RN Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room RN, you will provide rapid assessment and nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency and acute medical conditions.
