Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an RN for PRN opportunities in the Emergency Department. The RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, using established nursing models to assess, perform, teach and manage patient needs.

You will assess pain, document care in the medical record, respond promptly to requests, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.

• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, treatment, medications and follow-up.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
