Job summary

The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking an RN to join Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on providing safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership to the healthcare team in a busy, accredited facility.

Qualifications include a Nevada RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. BSN preferred; one year acute care experience or equivalent specialty training within 6 months of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• One-year acute care experience or completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees under supervision; demonstrates Service Excellence standards.
