Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Room at Methodist Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and coordinating patient care, administering medications, and educating patients and families. This role demands a current RN License and recent ER experience. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 along with relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate’s, or baccalaureate nursing program.
• Current RN License in Texas or Multi‑State Compact License (must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Recent ER experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
