Job summary

Tenet Desert is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ED in Indio, California. The RN II will provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department and supervise RNs, ED Techs and CNAs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

This full-time night shift position requires California RN licensure, 1–2 years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is offered for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse license (maintained at all times).
• 1-2 years of ER experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (maintained).
• Current NIHSS Certificate.
• Successful completion of EKG Test.
• Mastery of nursing skills for RN I position.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for ED patients.
• Oversees RN I, ED Techs and CNAs; communicates effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities and monitoring.
