Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse License maintained at all times.
• 1–2 years of ER experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification maintained at all times.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification maintained at all times.
• Current American Heart Association PALS certification maintained at all times.
• Current NIHSS certificate.
• Successful completion of EKG test.
• Basic nursing skills and knowledge for RN I position.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nurse staff and ED technicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for ED patients.
• Provide triage and critical care in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and team members.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and monitoring.
