Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room at Denton, TX. This PRN III night-position (7p–7a) involves delivering nursing care using the Nursing Process, with emphasis on critical care, safety, and patient education.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred), current RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 90 days, ENPC/TNCC/PALS within required timelines, and 1 year ED/critical-care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure upon hire.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; CPI training within 90 days.
• ENPC within 12 months; TNCC within 12 months; PALS within 90 days.
• 1 year of RN experience required; ED/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses patients and plans and implements care.
• Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates outcomes.
• Maintains age-specific safety and infection control measures.
• Communicates information needs to patients and families.
• Ensures continuity of care across shifts and transfers.
