Job summary

UCHealth in Denver is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department on a part-time basis. This on-site role features night shifts and a 48-hour per pay period schedule, with no remote options.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure, at least 6 months of RN experience, and certifications in trauma care and stroke assessment. You will deliver direct patient care and contribute to safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• At least 6 months of RN experience.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).
• Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Provides top-of-scope direct patient care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in Emergency Department up to and including Level 1 trauma designation.
• Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care.
• Models proficiency by precepting new staff and supporting orientation of clinical teams.
