Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Emergency Department. This full-time night shift offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 and a nurse residency program for new graduates, with starting pay for new grads at $36.00/hour.

We provide learning opportunities, strong team support, and meaningful work in a high-volume ED with magnet recognition and comprehensive benefits. Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; weekends required every third.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing is required.
• RN license is required and BLS certification within 90 days.
• BSN or MSN preferred; new graduates may be considered for Transition to Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Apply clinical knowledge with professional standards in ethics and collaboration.
• Support ED operations and contribute to quality outcomes.
