Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER to provide safe, competent nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The role is full-time with night shifts, requiring leadership and strong communication within the healthcare team.

Candidates should hold a Florida or Compact RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS/NRP/PALS/CPI where applicable, with experience in acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Prefer one year, full-time or 3 years, part-time experience in acute care setting.
• All Nursing Units require ACLS as of start date; Women’s Center: NRP; ICU/PCU: NIH; ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days; PACU: PALS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
