Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide critical care in a fast-paced setting. The role includes triage, intervention, and comprehensive patient management during emergencies, with emphasis on patient safety and compassionate care.

Requirements include an active FL RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or within specified timeframe). Night shifts, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and EMR documentation are essential aspects

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license.
• Minimum 1 year emergency/acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS required or within a specified timeframe.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Ability to work nights in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage using ESI.
• Initiate and manage emergency nursing interventions based on patient condition.
• Administer medications and procedures per hospital policy.
• Monitor patient responses and update care plans accordingly.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and communicate changes.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge instructions.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and participate in quality meetings.
