Job summary

Cedars-Sinai’s Emergency Department seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting. The ED expansion will increase care spaces from 60 to 100, including a trauma suite and behavioral health bay, with round-the-clock access to care for a growing population.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining the hospital’s standards of excellence and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Valid California RN License.
• ACLS and PALS certifications (60+ days from hire).
• EDAP or ENPC within first year.
• TNCC or ATCN within first year.
• RN III: Specialty Certification within first year for external applicants.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care ensuring safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and timely service.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and recovery.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and IV access.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Plan care based on assessments and patient needs and coordinate with team.
• Respect diverse cultural backgrounds; obtain informed consent and ensure patient safety.
