Job summary

UCI Health in California seeks an Emergency Department Level I Registered Nurse to provide care to a diverse patient population and to develop entry-level nursing skills in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a California RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (or within required timeframe) and at least six months of acute care RN experience. CPI certification within 90 days of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required for external candidates.
• Current California Registered Nurse license is required.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
• Six months of recent RN experience in acute care is required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a diverse patient population with acute or undiagnosed needs.
• Demonstrate and apply entry-level nursing skills on the unit.
• Collaborate with health system staff to ensure safe patient care.
