Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Texas State RN license required.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC per unit timelines.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family responses to health problems.
• Initiate and evaluate care plans based on assessments.
• Recognize changing patient condition and utilize resources promptly.
• Prioritize information and take decisive patient-focused action.
• Support physiologic stability of patients.
• Document all plans and care provided.
• Educate patient and family with written or verbal materials.
• Assign and delegate nursing care and coordinate workflow.
• Calculate and administer medications.
