Job summary

Gerber Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Center RN to join the Gerber ED team in Fremont, MI. The role supports care delivery in a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Evening shift from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. with every-other weekend, serving diverse patient populations and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 days.
• ENPC - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 1 year.
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year.

The Gerber ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are over 20 care spaces to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
