Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Colonial Heights, VA, is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in a freestanding ER. The RN will lead patient assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Requires nursing registration and a strong clinical background in emergency care; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred and ACLS/PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (preferred at hire; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high intensity setting with an interprofessional team
• Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to meet outcomes
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination
• Provides care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short-stay to trauma
• Administer medications safely in line with policies
• Other duties as assigned
