Job summary

Valley Health in West Virginia seeks a Registered Nurse II (RN II) for the Emergency Room to deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, and document patient care while leading a team and maintaining safety standards within a fast-paced ER environment.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to coordinate patient education and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license required. Based on state regulations, licensed or eligible to practice as RN in applicable state.
• BLS Certification (Healthcare Provider) required. AHA approved.
• Portfolio/Professional Practice Ladder responsibilities and ongoing professional development are expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management.
• Provide quality communication, teamwork and leadership to staff and patients.
• Direct and coordinate patient teaching, safety initiatives, and activities of health team members.
• Act as Charge Nurse when assigned and participate in PI activities and department initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with state boards of nursing regarding licensure and practice.
