Job summary

Valley Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse II in the Emergency Department to lead patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating with the health team.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, and commitment to mandatory competencies and professional development. You will mentor staff, support patient education, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced ER.

Qualifications

• RN license required; eligible to practice per state regulations.
• Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Must complete annual competencies and unit-specific requirements.
• Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care using the nursing process for assigned population.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching and safety initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and time management; participate in performance reviews.
• Serve as Charge Nurse and contribute to departmental initiatives as assigned.
