Job summary

Ferry County Public Hospital District seeks an experienced ER nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The role requires triage proficiency, rapid decision-making, and collaboration with ED physicians to adapt to patient needs.

The position is unionized, offers a sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment, and requires current WA RN licensure with BLS; ACLS, TNCC, and PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with up to six months RN experience.
• Current RN license with the state of Washington.
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six months of hire.
• TNCC within one year of hire.
• PALS within one year of hire.
• This is a safety sensitive position and subject to RCW 49.44.240(3)(g).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency setting.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassess as per policy.
• Use triage to ensure timely care and appropriately assign triage categories.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patients/families on pain management.
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret results; respond to changes.
• Triage, monitor, and interpret cardiac rhythm and point-of-care test results.
