Job summary

Saint Joseph Jessamine, part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role requires BSN/BSN-eligible nurses, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within specified timeframes, plus KY RN licensure. Expect professional growth within a large Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• Associates Of Science Nursing, upon hire and
• Bachelors Of Science Nursing. New hire RNs have 2 years from hire date to enroll in BSN program and it must be completed within 5 years of hire, 60 - months
• Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months and
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
• Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
• Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
• Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Administrates medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
