Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is seeking an experienced RN to collaborate with the health care team, diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, and coordinate comprehensive nursing care. The RN will assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients while coordinating with other health care disciplines.

The role requires ED experience, strong clinical judgment, and adherence to Kaiser Permanente standards.

Qualifications

Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
One (1) year of current ED experience or Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship in the Emergency Department.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
Registered Nurse License (Oregon).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
Computer keyboarding skills.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course.

Responsibilities

Assessments: multi-system assessments, discharge planning needs.
Planning: develops individualized nursing plan of care and coordinates care.
Implementation: administers medications and documents in EMR per policy.
Evaluation: evaluates methods and patient responses; participates in unit quality assurance.
