Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The role emphasizes patient assessment, safe care delivery, and collaboration with physicians and other providers to ensure quality outcomes.

You will work 11p-11:30p at 25 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive, safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Two years of nursing and/or ER nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• CEN certification and comfort with EMR systems (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers.
• Educate patients and families to ensure they are informed and prepared for next steps.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR for continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support coordinated care.
