Job summary

Saint Joseph Mount Sterling is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will perform assessments, plan and implement patient care, administer medications and IV therapy, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes.

This role offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and up to $24,000 in student loan assistance, with opportunities for growth within a faith-based hospital that serves the Mount

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• KY RN license required at hire.
• BLS/CPR required at hire.
• ACLS required within 90 days.
• PALS required within 6 months.
• TNCC required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
• Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
• Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
• Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Exercises medication administration, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
