Job summary

Nutex Health's Emergency Department seeks an experienced ED RN to provide immediate, high-quality care to patients with acute conditions. You will perform rapid head-to-toe assessments, assign triage categories, and deliver emergency treatment in a fast-paced setting.

You will supervise Emergency Room Technicians, educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians to implement care plans, and uphold infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• Current BCLS/CPR; ACLS, PALS or ENPC; TNCC preferred.
• English reading, writing, and speaking fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with head-to-toe assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
• Triage patients to assign urgency categories.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced setting.
• Administer medications following the five rights.
• Oversee ER Technicians and other healthcare staff.
• Communicate with patients and families about procedures and plans.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
