Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking an ED Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Medical Telemetry Unit within the Emergency Department. You will perform rapid assessments, triage patients, and provide comprehensive care to patients across the age spectrum according to established protocols.

Responsibilities include medication administration, supervision of ER Technicians, patient advocacy, collaboration with physicians, infection control, and ongoing education to support quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival with head-to-toe exams and psychosocial evaluations to determine severity.
• Triage patients to ensure timely care based on urgency.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following protocols.
• Administer medications accurately per the five rights identification.
• Supervise ER Technicians and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Explain procedures and treatment plans to patients and families for education and support.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to implement care plans.
• Maintain infection control standards and safe patient environments.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement activities.
