Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. This full-time evening shift (11a-11:30p) features a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

The RN administers care in Telemetry, collaborates with physicians, and mentors staff while upholding standards of professional nursing. Required licenses and certifications are listed in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Current ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• ECRN or MICN certificate within 12 months and maintained current.
• EDAP certification: completion of annual education.
• NRP certificate within 90 days and maintained current (non-OB).
• TNCC within 12 months; TNCC preferred for non-trauma facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in Telemetry.
• Be accountable for care in the Emergency Department.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physician and document results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment response.
• Comply with EMTALA and report abuse as required.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
