Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, Oregon seeks an Emergency Room RN for an 36-hour evening shift. You will work with the health care team to diagnose and treat patient health problems, assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, and coordinate with other departments.

Required are RN licensure in Oregon, BLS, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification, with prior ED experience preferred. Background check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year of current ED experience or Kaiser New Grad ED internship.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• ENPC within 6 months of hire or PALS within 6 months of hire.
• RN license (Oregon) required.
• ACLS required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Coordinate care activities with hospital and clinic departments.
• Accurately document in the EMR and follow care plans.
• Perform procedures per physician's plan and manage emergencies.
• Evaluate patient responses and participate in unit quality activities.
