Job summary

KAISER PERMANENTE in Clackamas, Oregon seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN to join our team for 30 hours per week on night shifts. You will apply clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, coordinate care with other disciplines, and support a high-acuity department.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, implementing physician orders, and evaluating patient responses.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year of current ED experience or Kaiser New Grad Internship in the ED.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon).
• Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
• Computer keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: performs multi-system assessments and plans discharge needs.
• Planning: develops an individual nursing plan of care and coordinates care.
• Implementation: initiates measures per protocol and documents in EMR.
• Evaluation: evaluates methods and patient responses; participates in quality activities.
