Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking an ER Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department. You will provide expert clinical care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to patient-centered care.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact acceptable with FL license within 60 days), a nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS. ACLS, PALS/ENPC, CPI/TNCC, and NIHSS certifications are expected within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; compact license acceptable with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS within 6 months; PALS/ENPC within 6 months; CPI and TNCC within 6 months; NIHSS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including triage, screening, preparation for exam, general nursing care, and testing/admissions arrangements.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
