Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ED in Bell Gardens, California. The RN will deliver coordinated care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality emergency services.

ASAP start, ongoing, staff position with a comprehensive benefits package. Required certifications include BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and HLFS; CA RN license is mandatory. BSN preferred and acute care experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• RN licensure in California required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• HLFS (Hospital Fire & Life Safety) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or unit per established standards and nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of nursing staff across levels; coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Uses critical thinking and independent judgment to develop and implement care plans.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
