Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ED in Whittier, California. The RN will deliver coordinated care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

This role is represented by UNAC/UHCP and supports discharge planning for continuity of care. Required licensure in the state and CPR/BLS certification; BSN preferred, with an emphasis on acute care experience.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred for this ED RN position.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to standards and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, healing care.
• Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
• Delegates duties and coordinates the healthcare team’s activities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
