Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Schertz. This PRN/relief role provides age-specific nursing care, documentation, and patient/family support in a fast-paced ER setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years ER experience. Fluency in English required; English communication is essential for effective teamwork and patient care in the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions required.
• 2+ years ER or comparable RN experience required.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS; ENPC substitution may apply; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific nursing care.
• Complete accurate, concise medical records documentation.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Present revised interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow physician orders for nursing care delivery.
• Collect lab samples and perform lab testing per policy.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Participate in assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Assemble equipment for procedures and support treatments.
