Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Department to provide comprehensive nursing care and collaborate with the health care team.

Under general supervision, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients, including medication administration and discharge planning, following policy and using the EMR. You will participate in quality improvement and multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS required at hire.
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification required within set timeframes.
• ED experience: minimum nine months or Kaiser New Grad Internship.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-system assessments and discharge planning.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care and coordinate discharge planning with departments and community agencies.
• Initiate measures based on protocol and document in the EMR.
• Evaluate patient response and participate in unit quality assurance activities.
