Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, applying clinical judgment to diagnose and respond to health problems.

Under supervision, the RN assesses, plans, directs, implements, and evaluates care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, documents in EMR, and adheres to protocols and discharge planning needs.

Qualifications

• Nine months of RN experience minimum.
• One year of current ED experience or Kaiser New Grad Internship in ED.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan nursing care across the hospital stay.
• Direct, provide, and evaluate nursing care and coordinate with other teams.
• Perform accurate multi-system assessments and discharge planning needs.
• Document care in the EMR and follow care protocols.
• Initiate measures in emergencies and assess patient responses.
